Karilagan Singers

Karilagan Singers of the Philippines will make the Filipinos Proud as they are the chosen singing group to sing for the Beatification of Pope John Paul II on May 1, 2011 in Vatican City in Rome. The Karilagan Singers which is established in 1992, is a Filipino church-based socio-cultural performing group whose members are migrant workers based in Rome, Italy. Karilagan Singers bound together by their common love for music. Karilagan Singers aims to promote the rich tradition of Filipino choral music in Rome.
Karilagan Singers will surely make Filipinos Proud because of this world event.
Beatification from the Latin Word beatus means blessed is a recognition accorded by the Catholic Church of a dead person’s entrance into Heaven and capacity to intercede on behalf of individuals who pray in his or her name (intercession of saints).
